Wow, Shabnam, I always knew you had a fiery spirit, and a humble soul. This evil that you experienced as a little child is totally unacceptable, infact any form of abuse, bullying, narcissistic control etc. I totally and utterly disagree with! It takes courage and boldness to expose such ills in society, and only a few, like you, Shabnam, exist. Your story is so well crafted and written with a loving and caring message to all of humanity, to just do the right thing, and expose this heinous evil that's so evident nowadays. Well done, you are so blessed in all that you do!

A few years ago when Trump was president, Mark Levin had this extraordinary gentleman on from S. Africa. His sister had been kidnapped and trafficked but she was saved. I wish I could remember his name but he has worked in the US as a primary person trying to stop sex trafficking here. He said 600,000 children in the US alone are trafficked. The number must be much higher now with that creep Biden though Obama is a creep too,

This incredible man also said that the only president with whom he spoke and there were several who did not just give lip service but took action was Trump. I will buy a ticket but I cried at the trailer so I’m not sure I could watch.

We must stop this. We must. All of us.

I went to see it today. As difficult as it was to watch, it was very well made. This is so close to my heart too. I’m a grandmother now but I so much want to help rescue these children.

As always Shabnam, I value and admire your courage and forthrightness. Getting to know you over the last few years has been a privelege and a pleasure, and Lara and I salute all that you are and have become. Transcending your trauma is tough, but if you can do so, it allows you to operate at a level few can. And you do! Love, Gary

Dear Shabnam your courage and your beautiful spirit are an inspiration to us all. What a story! In my late teens I wanted to travel on my own from South Africa to the UK by ship. My father said to my mother no, she might be trafficked. We all laughed. We couldn't believe such a thing existed in the present day. Until recently I still was unaware it was an actual thing. My wish is that children and all people gain courage to act immediately, knowing they will get support. Imagine if that girl in the hotel had run over to you shouting at the top of her lungs " no, I an not OK! Please help! "

What is the signal for a woman in distress? These 'Distress Signals' May Help You Get Out of an Unsafe

If you are in an unsafe situation and you are afraid to tell the other person, you may want to use a secret signal to ask for help. The Canadian Women's Foundation suggests a hand gesture where you curl your thumb into your palm and fold your fingers over it to indicate that you're in danger.
